Job Summary
The IT Director is directly responsible for the management of IT applications and computer and employee resources engaged in technology design and implementation. The IT Director is responsible for setting short and long-term IT goals in line with the company's goals and objectives and direct resource allocation based on the strategic plan.


Essential Functions
The primary duties and responsibilities of the IT Director consist of but are not limited to:
Acts as the company expert for information technology. Review and evaluate emerging technologies and recommend hardware, software and IT service enhancements for the business. Assess feasibility, best fit and return on investment of system enhancements to meet company objectives.
Maintain a strong understanding of cross-functional processes and engage department managers in continuous improvement activities. Design systems to meet user and business requirements.
Oversee the design, development and implementation of new applications and changes to existing computer systems and software.
Use tools and processes to identify project goals, set and manage the schedule, anticipate and identify issues, remove obstacles, track task completion and communicate project progress.
Provide leadership and vision for the IT department. Oversee the IT strategic plan, revising it on an annual basis and ensuring it is aligned with company objectives.

Establish and maintain a work environment that fosters ongoing availability and high responsiveness of department staff. Provide day to day supervision, promote team building and provide growth paths for staff. Effectively delegate work to staff, outsourced services and contractors.
Ensure that vendor, outsourcing, and consultant contracts are created and executed in accordance to Company policies. Manage ongoing operations to provide timely support for hardware and software issues.
Manage computer resources within the business, ensuring that computers are available and secure for use. Oversees technical support and troubleshoots problems.
Ultimately responsible for network security including restricting access to certain websites, maintaining virus protection and employing all other security measures necessary to safeguard company's equipment and information.

Qualifications
Minimum Requirements - 2 year technical degree in Computer Science related field.
Preferred - Undergraduate degree in Computer Science, IT, Business or similar technical field.
3-5 years experience in manufacturing environment preferred.
8-10 years of experience working in information technology with progressive managerial responsibilities.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
